A 31-year-old Austin woman was cited for violating her instructional permit after she was involved in an accident Saturday at the intersection of Fourth Street and 10th Avenue Northwest.

According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, a 23-year-old woman traveled eastbound on 10th Avenue and drove into the intersection on a green light, where she hit the 31-year-old coming from the other direction. The 31-year-old had tried to turn south and was struck by the 23-year-old.

The 31-year-old reportedly suffered some neck pain and was taken via ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.
