A house fire caused about $60,000 worth of damage yesterday after firefighters put out the blaze.

No one was injured in the fire, which started about 3 a.m. Sunday at a house at the 1900 block of Oakland Avenue East.

Two adults and three children safely made it out of the house, according to Austin Fire Chief Jim McCoy.

Firefighters put out the flames in about 20 minutes. The fire is under investigation.
