A 70-year-old biker from North Carolina was hospitalized after he was injured in a car/motorcycle crash at the 1400 block of Fourth Avenue Northwest Wednesday.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said a 26-year-old Austin woman was driving northbound on Fourth Avenue Northwest at about 5:30 p.m. when the biker turned northbound from the Interstate 90 east onramp and clipped her car. A witness told police he had waived the biker across and didn’t see the oncoming traffic.

The biker was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin to treat a possible broken collarbone.
