The Austin Greyhounds came back to beat Cannon Falls 6-4 on the road Friday.

The Hounds tied the game at 4-4 in the seventh when Nate Conner singled in a run and they took the lead for good in the eighth when Dylan Gasner and Alex Ciola had back-to-back RBI singles.

“It’s good to get the young guys out there,” said Hounds pitcher Zach Schara, who picked up the win in relief. “They’re looking for an opportunity to play every day. They’re playing hard and they’re pretty tough kids.”

Schara came on for the last two innings and he struck out four to get the win.

“I threw the deuce a couple of more times than usual,” Schara said. “I was testing it out a little, because I know later in the season I’ll need it for my arsenal.”

John Frein doubled in a pair of runs for the Hounds (5-1 overall) Jeremy Evans had one RBI.
