ALDEN — Authorities have identified a man found dead under a skid loader Saturday night in rural Alden.

Harry Richter, 89, was trapped between the bucket and the skid loader for more than two hours before his nephew found him, according to a Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office press release.

It is unclear how Richter ended up in the machine, but the incident appears to be an accident, according to the press release.

The Sheriff’s Office was dispatched at 9:50 p.m. Saturday to 18451 650th Ave.

Prior to deputies arriving on scene, Alden first responders were able to free Richter, but he was deceased, according to the release.
