Get ready to swap some healthy recipes and listen to some great music this weekend with the Pecatonica String Quartet and a class at the Austin Public Library. There’s something for every age as karaoke takes place Friday afternoon and brats are served Saturday.
1. Teen Healthy Cooking Class/Recipe Swap
6-7 p.m. Thursday, Austin Public Library
Learn to make some fun and healthy dip snacks. Bring some favorite recipes to share. Sign up for the event is required and the class is limited to ages 17 and under. For more information, call 507-433-2391.
2. Senior Special: Pecatonica String Quartet
10:30-11:30 a.m., 1-2 p.m., 7-8 p.m. on Friday, Ruby Rupner Auditorium Jay C. Hormel Nature Center
Back by popular demand, the quartet will set the tone for this Alzheimer’s fundraiser in memory of Don Deines. The concert is free concert and a free will donation will be accepted for Alzheimer’s research. For more information or to RSVP, call 507-437-7519 or email info@hormelnaturecenter.org.
3. Karaoke lunch
12-1:30 p.m. Friday, Mower County Senior Center
Now is the chance to sing in public — throw caution to the wind and impress friends. There will be an a la carte luncheon featuring popcorn, a variety of open face sandwiches and sliders, Caprese salad, Sicilian orange and onion salad, and desserts. Cost is $5 for members, $6 for non-members, and the event is sponsored in part by St. Mark’s. For more information, call 507-433-2370.
4. Annual Brat Feed
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, The Bridge, 108 E. Oakland Ave.
The annual Brat Feed at the Bridge will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a $6 donation. There will be brats, chips and potato salad, and all the proceeds will go toward Bridge activities and supplies.
5. Austin Greyhounds vs Rochester Red Legs doubleheader
5-10 p.m. Saturday, Marcusen Park, Austin

6. MSF/NSF U14 – 18C, MSF/NSF U14/16D Girls State Fast Pitch Tournament
