David ‘Pete’ P. Strecker, 62

David “Pete” P. Strecker, 62, of Isle, Minnesota, passed away Aug. 4, 2015, at his home.

Pete grew up in Isle, Minnesota, and graduated from Isle High School in 1970. He moved to International Falls as a young man when he met his wife Audrey. On June 19, 1976, Pete and Audrey were married and started their family. From there Pete and his family moved to Austin, Minnesota, where Pete worked as a machinist at Streater in Albert Lea, Minnesota, for over 25 years. Pete enjoyed bow hunting, wood working, and riding his Harley.

Pete is preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; son, Sam Stecker; his father, Clarence Henry Strecker; and his mother, Alice Rose (Elgren) Strecker.

Pete is survived by his son, Jesse (fiancé Julie Blaha) of Blaine, Minnesota; brothers: Dan (Toni) of Isle, Minnesota, John (Barb) of Onamia, Minnesota, Roger (Shari) of Cambridge, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews.

A time of gathering will be held for family and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Mille Lacs Lake Funeral Home in Isle, Minnesota, on Aug. 9, 2015. Arrangements are by Mille Lacs Lakes Funeral Home in Isle, Minnesota.
