Austin Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and Austin Utilities held a ribbon cutting for the solar electrical vehicle charging station Wednesday at the municipal parking lot at Third Avenue and First Street Northwest.
Riverland Community College students in the Solar PV Installer course helped install the unit last year. The project was made possible with the help of grants from the Clean Energy Resource Teams and the Hormel Foundation.
