The Austin girls tennis team picked up its first win of the season when it topped Faribault 5-2 on the road Tuesday.

Austin’s No. 1 singles player, Jennifer Bogle, was out with an illness, but the rest of the Packers stepped up to get wins in the singles matches.

” All of our singles players elevated their play in higher positions, including Sarah Bachmeier, who played her first varsity match,” Austin head coach Levon Larson said. “I’m really proud of the team’s efforts today, especially considering the extreme humidity.”
