ALBERT LEA — A free program, “Preventing Diabetes: Lessons from Research” is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Sept. 22 at the Freeborn County Historical Museum, 1031 Bridge Ave. in Albert Lea.

Dr. Sumit Bhagra Endocrinology of Mayo Clinic Health System will summarize findings from the Diabetes Prevention Program and discuss steps to prevent or delay the occurrence of Type 2 diabetes (typically called adult-onset diabetes).
