Someone broke into an unlocked car in southwest Austin Saturday night and stole a woman’s purse containing money and credit cards.

Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger said the victim told police the theft occurred between 8 and 9 p.m. Saturday.

A resident found the woman’s wallet containing her missing credit cards the next day, but the woman’s purse, her driver’s license and an undisclosed amount of cash are still missing, according to Krueger.

There are no suspects at this time.
