The Austin girls soccer team dominated the ball and it eventually paid off as they beat Winona (0-5 overall, 0-3 Big Nine) 1-0 in Art Hass Stadium Tuesday.
The Packers (3-2 overall, 1-1 Big Nine) out-shot the Winhawks 18-3 and Paige Raymond scored the game-winning goal with 10 minutes left in the contest.
“The girls played really amazing,” Austin head coach Enrique Camarena-Corzo said. “They had good passes and they were crossing the ball. I think today we played even better than Saturday. We were really aggressive and all of our players were concentrated on the game.”
Chloe Summerfield had one save in net for Austin and Myia Hoium had two saves.
