Rann “Ty” Campbell, 42, of Mason City, Iowa, formerly of Hawaii, passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at his home.

He was born Nov. 13, 1972, in Austin, Minnesota, to Leanne (Miller) Rand and Robert Campbell. His biological father, Daniel Hegna, has passed away. Ty graduated from high school in California before moving to Maui, Hawaii, where he lived until 2011. After holding several odd jobs, he began selling automobiles at Cutter Dodge, where he held the position of finance manager for many years. Ty was a great P.R. person and an excellent salesperson. Ty attended Faith Baptist Church in Mason City, Iowa. He had many passions, one being very kind and helping many others, never expecting anything in return. He loved cars; he knew them well and explained any and all that he passed by. He took college classes, taking courses in sales and finance, among others. Ty was a collector of watches, coins, cool rocks and car toys. An avid reader, he read everything he picked up. Among his favorite pastimes was his involvement in fantasy football, where he earned a beautiful championship ring.

Ty is survived by his mother Leanne Rand of Mason City, Iowa, his father Robert Campbell, also of Mason City; his grandmother Phyllis (Miller) Peterson of Austin, Minnesota; his sisters: Misty (Campbell) and Chris Conn of Lyle, Minnesota, Starla (Campbell) and Tyrel Varrelman of Hampton, Iowa, Dawn (Hegna) and Merlyn Shelden of Austin, Minnesota; his brothers: Tracy and Renea Hegna, Warren and Jeanette Hegna of Austin, and Travis Rand and Troy Rand of Iowa; many nieces and nephews; step-father Larry Rand, to whom he was very close; his former wife and a step-son; longtime friend Heather Nichols; many other friends and relatives in Hawaii and California.
