If you are turning 65 or going on Medicare, here is an opportunity for you to get the information you need.

At 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday the Mower County Senior Center will host a class on Medicare ABCD’s. This class will cover the parts of Medicare, hospital, medical and drug options; including original/ traditional Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicare advantage plans, Part D prescription drug coverage and preventive benefits.

Also included is information about Medicare savings programs, drug assistance, preventing fraud, waste and abuse and other resources to help you make informed decisions. The instructor is a certified State Health Insurance Program counselor with the Senior LinkAge Line. These programs are all free to attend and open to the public. We ask that you sign up ahead of time for planning purposes.

Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 a sandwich for 50 cents. Tuesday we are having scalloped potatoes and Ham for only $2.
