A woman who allegedly assaulted someone early Wednesday morning was also arrested for a possible burglary.
Austin police officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at the 1600 block of Second Avenue Southeast, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger. Officers found a 25-year-old woman trying to break into a house. A rear window was broken out by a rock, and the woman had blood on her arms.
The woman had been let into the home by a minor, but was escorted out of the home, leading to the attempt to gain reentry, according to the report. There were two adults and one minor in the home at the time.
Earlier, officers also responded to a possible assault by the woman with another victim in a different location.
The woman was taken into custody and was transported to the Mower County Jail.
She faces potential charges of fifth-degree assault, first-degree burglary and fourth degree property damage, but she is yet to be officially charged through the Mower County Attorney’s office.
