Brownsdale Study Club
Everett De Young conducted the October meeting. Club members recited the flag pledge.
Hazel Baldner, chaplain, recited a reading entitled, “Expectations.”Words and simple things that make our day. Secretary and treasurer’s reports were given. Treasurer reported a glance of $949.92.
Acceptance motions of both reports were given, first by Sally Michels and seconded by Roman Kikuts.
October birthdays were celebrated by Carol Kline, Eddie Hall, Helen Johnson and Hazel Baldner.
Illness was reported for Elvina Solomonson. She is at Sacred Heart Home.
Vernon Ginder, Del Srsen and Eloise Williamette are serving on the nominating committee.
Duplicate Bridge
Tournament results for Oct. 21, 2015, four tables played: First place,Dave Ring and Stan Schultz; second place: Jim Fisher and Larry Crowe; third place, Eunice Michaelis and Warren Behrends; fourth place, Edna Knobbe and Cleo Osmundson.
Duplicate Bridge is played each Wednesday at noon at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin. All Bridge players are welcome. Call Dave Ring at 507-434-4189.
