Volleyball: Hayfield grads help RCTC win NJCAA Division III title

A pair of Hayfield grads were on the Rochester Community and Technical College volleyball team that won its first ever NJCAA Division III national title in Rochester over the weekend.
Jessie Foster, who is a sophomore at RCTC, was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and Jo Bungum is a freshman hitter for the Yellowjackets (27-6 overall).
RCTC beat beat the defending champs Madison in five sets on Saturday and they beat Brookhaven in the finals in four sets.
Foster had 41 set assists, seven digs and two kills and Bungum had eight kills and 10 digs in the title match. Against Madison, Foster had 38 set assists, seven digs, three blocks and three kills and Bungum had five kills and 13 digs.
