Gerald A. Scott, 76, of Adams, Minnesota, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at the Adams Health Care Center.

He was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Russell and Ruth (Aase) Scott. He grew up in Albert Lea, where he graduated from Albert Lea High School and worked at Weyerhaeuser. On June 14, 1975, he was united in marriage to Barbara Carter at the First United Methodist Church in Austin. Following his retirement in 1986, Gerald and Barbara moved to Rogers, Arkansas. In 2012, they returned to Minnesota due to health issues, and resided in Adams. Gerald loved spending time with his dogs. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gerald is survived by his wife Barbara Scott of Adams, Minnesota; three nieces: Linda Larson of Austin, Minnesota, Kathy Critzer of Mankato, Minnesota, and Susan Hamilton of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; his nephew Gayland Hamilton of Kasota, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Ruth Scott.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Visitation will take place beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea.
