OLIVIA — A southwestern Minnesota man has admitted to killing his girlfriend with a bow and arrow before trying to take his own life.
KSTP-TV reports that 29-year-old Dwayne Alan Case of Franklin pleaded guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder in the death of 45-year-old Elizabeth Gregg of Morgan.
Court documents show Renville County deputies were called to a remote campsite south of Franklin on June 12 and found Case in a tent with a gunshot wound to his jaw. The deputies discovered Gregg’s body when they removed Case from the tent.
An autopsy later found that an arrow had perforated Gregg’s stomach and liver.
A compound bow and quiver of arrows were found in the tent.
