A miniature Christmas tree has been showing up at several bus stops around town. The tree is filled with mittens in various sizes from children to adults, made by an unknown good Samaritan, free for anyone in need of mittens. The tree follows a similar tale to that of “The Mitten Tree” by Candace Christiansen, with someone making the mittens for those in need, even though the creators and receivers don’t know each other. The tree will likely be around several more times throughout the winter.
