The Riverland volleyball team (2-0 overall) cruised to a three-game victory by scores of 25-13, 25-8, 25-21 over Gogebic at Riverland Gym Friday night.

Ashleigh Smith, who finished with three aces, served 11 straight points to start the first game and Riverland never looked back. After dominating game two, the Blue Devils trailed the third game 12-10 before taking over.

“It was a fantastic night for us,” Riverland head coach Helen Jahr said.

Brooke Monson had five kills, four aces, three blocks and eight digs for the Blue Devils, Tiffany Preuss had five kills, 10 assists and nine digs, Ashley Lau had nine kills and nine digs, and Krissy Schemmel had four aces, 10 assists, and eight digs.
