Austin alumni getting their time

Austin grads Zach Wessels and Tom Aase have each played in all 12 games for the University of Sioux Falls this season. Wessels is playing 11.4 minutes per game with 1.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game, and Aase is averaging 14.8 minutes, 3.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.25 blocks per game, while shooting 68 percent on field goals and 70 percent on free throws.
Austin grad Joe Aase had played in 11 games and is averaging 1.5 points per game for Minnesota State University (9-2 overall).
Austin grad AJ Nywesh is continuing to have a breakout season at Lake Region State College. Nywesh is fifth in the NJCAA Division I with 343 total points and he is 27th in the nation with 20.2 points per game.
Nywesh is also averaging 3.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, while shooting 43 percent on field goals, 42 percent on three-pointers and 82 percent on free throws.
Austin grad Gach Gach is averaging 6.6 points per game in 14 games, while shooting 45 percent from the field for North Dakota State College of Sciences.
Austin grad Bret Lukes has played in all eight games for Hamline University this season. Lukes averaged 2.6 points and 2.1 rebounds and .8 assists per game.
Hayfield grad Cole Kruger has played in three games for Upper Iowa is averaging 1.5 minutes and one point per game.
Austin grad Jenna Svoboda has resumed her basketball career at Rochester Community and Technical College. Svoboda has played in 12 games and she’s averaging 5.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and .9 assists per game for the Yellowjackets.
Hayfield grad Jessie Foster had seven points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game at RCTC.
Hayfield grad Jo Bungum is averaging 13.6 points per game, 3.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.
Hockey
Austin grad Adam Maxfield has played in 19 games for the Gillette Wild this season. Maxfield has seven goals and nine assists.
