ST. PAUL — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has named a new point person for management of the state’s deer, elk and moose populations.
Adam Murkowski starts Jan. 11 as the DNR’s big game program leader.
Murkowski worked in a similar position in Vermont from 2012 to 2015. Since last March he had worked for the Wisconsin DNR as a big game ecologist.
He replaces Leslie McInenly, who was promoted last October to the DNR wildlife section’s forest habitat team supervisor.
