MASON CITY, Iowa — A Mason City man accused of fracturing an infant’s ribs has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of child endangerment.
Authorities say 21-year-old D’Airio Cryer squeezed the child to cause the rib fractures. The Mason City Globe Gazette reports that the child was taken to the Mayor Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, for treatment.
Cryer also was accused of pushing a bulb syringe up the infant’s nose, causing a small gash in one nostril.
