Semi, pickup collide near Stewartville

A 56-year-old Racine man died after his pickup and a semi collided on an icy Highway 63 around noon on Thursday.

Harold O. Bredesen died after the 1989 Chevy Pickup he was driving northbound on Highway 63 collided with a southbound 2008 International Semi, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Sarjant S. Nanrey, 40, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was driving the semi and was not injured.

The Chevy was totaled, while the semi sustained moderate damage.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The Mower County and Olmsted County sheriff’s offices assisted on the scene.
