The Austin wrestling team had five wrestlers finish in the top-five of their weight class, but they didn’t have any state qualifiers at the Section 1AAA meet in Mayo Civic Center in Rochester Saturday.

Austin’s Phillip Zynda had a ‘true second’ match to get to state at 160 pounds, where he was pinned by Eric Heusbourg of Farmington in the first period. Zynda finished in third place.

Tad Belden took fourth place at 113, Isaac Arjes took fourth place at 195, and Eli Kaercher took fourth place at 285 and Aiden Wilson took fifth place at 138.
