The Riverland Community College baseball team won two out of three games over the weekend in Tuscon, Ariz.

The Blue Devils (3-1 overall) beat Marian College 13-6, they lost 4-3 to Mayville State JV in nine innings and they beat Mile City 8-4.

The loss to Mayville came on a walk off in the ninth inning and the Blue Devils had allowed Mayville to force extra innings by committing a costly error in the sixth. Overall, RCC head coach Scott Koenigs is pleased with how his team has played so far.

“We’ve made some really good plays and we’ve had some really good at bats,” Koenigs said. “Our top four starting pitchers have all pitched tremendously well.”
