LeRoy-Ostrander senior Josh Royston had a major impact for the Cardinal boys basketball team and now he’s going to carry his game onto the next level.
Royston has made his verbal commitment to play college basketball at Division III Luther College, which is located in Decorah, Iowa, next season.
Royston was looking at five separate schools and he said Luther’s conservation management program drew him in. He’s also looking forward to playing college basketball.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun playing with guys who can play,” Royston said.
Royston averaged 16.4 points, 11 rebounds, 5.8 blocks, 1.5 steals and 1.2 assists per game for the Cardinals this past seasons and he had three triple doubles and 10 double doubles on the season.
He is a versatile player who did many things for LO last season.
“I can play multiple positions and I’m not sure where they’ll put me,” Royston said.
The Norse went 5-20 overall last season.
