KSMQ Public Television is about to offer a special edition of “On Q Insight.”

Community Education Director Amy Baskin has a one-on-one conversation with parent Anna Otto, with a little help from her kids, to explore some early childhood strategies for parents.

The program will highlight an opportunity for families with young children to develop the vocabulary of their kids. National studies show that the more words a preschooler hears, the better they will perform in school and life in general.

Human brain development is especially important in the birth to three age range.

KSMQ’s “On Q Insight” airs at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
