Police say gang fight led to fatal shooting in St. Paul

ST. PAUL— Investigators say it was a confrontation over a gang name that led to a fatal shooting at a St. Paul park last weekend.

A criminal complaint says the victim, 18-year-old Bobby Collins, and a man from a rival gang fired gunshots during the confrontation that started over the gang name Forever After Money.

Two men who were with Collins are charged with rioting. An 18-year-old St. Paul man is in custody in connection with Collins’ death. He has not yet been charged.

Police say officers encountered about 300 people as they arrived at Indian Mounds Regional Park Sunday night on a report of shots fired. They found Collins with a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
