Y’s Women

Y’s women met April 14 at the Hormel Historic Home.

Al Batt, a well known writer, storyteller and humorist delighted us with stories and adventures of his school days and life. Husbands of members were guests, also Bill Koopal showed a beautiful quilt made by the Congregational church women in memory of his wife, Eileen. She was a past member of Y’s Women.

At the business meeting it was decided our club will sponsor a card party luncheon on May 5 at the Hormel Home.

Hostesses were Jane Helfrich and Evie Mohrfeld.

The next meeting will be May 12 at the Hormel Historic Home. We will meet at 4:30 p.m. to plan programs for next year. A salad potluck will follow at 5:30 p.m. The program will be by Josie Cummings, a master gardener. She will speak on container gardening.
