Hanson clinches third trip to state track meet

Three area athletes earned a trip to the Class ‘A’ state track and field meet at the Section 1A finals in Triton Thursday.
Grand Meadow/LeRoy/Ostrander/Southland sophomore Danielle Hanson clinched her third consecutive trip to state in the 300-meter hurdles as she finished first with a time of 46.14 seconds.
Lyle/Pacelli foreign exchange student Maya Ebeling qualified for state in the shot put, where she took first with a distance of 36 feet, 9.5 inches. She qualified for state in discus on Tuesday, when she took second.
In the boys meet, Hayfield junior Hunter Anderson advanced to state in discus and shot put. He took first in both events.
