The Austin boys golf team took sixth place out of 12 teams at the Rochester Mayo Invite at Eastwood Golf Course Wednesday.

The meet was shortened to nine holes due to cold rain and strong winds. The Packers finished with a team score of 169. Rochester John Marshall won the meet with a team score of 161.

Matt Neumann led the Packers with a score of 39.

“We turned in some decent scores in some cold and windy conditions,” Austin head coach Matt Raso said. “We had standing water on some of the greens and I was really pleased with how they battled.”
