The 2008 Culture Heritage Festival will be held Sunday, Sept. 14 at Veterans Pavilion in Austin Community Bandshell Park.

The eighth-annual festival begins noon Sept. 14 and concludes at 6 p.m.

Sponsored by the Welcome Center, the festival will feature activities for all ages.

Community leaders will be special guests at the dunk tank.

There will be a fun house, obstacle course, bounce house, hot chili contest and belly and salsa dance contest.

Prizes will include gift cards donated by local businesses.

Mexican, Chinese, Norwegian and other foods will be featured.

The entertainment lineup will feature Tropical Zone Orchestra, performing Caribbean, Latin, tropical salsa, bolero and meregue music.

Also featured will be the Raks Sharqi Middle Eastern Dancers.

The Bissen Brothers band will perform and so will the Jane Taylor Dancers.

The festival is free and open to the public.
