The Lyle-Pacelli softball team started strong as it beat Medford (4-9 overall) 15-4 in five innings on the road Thursday.
Miranda Arkells pitched up the pitching win by allowing just three hits for LP (3-8 overall) and eighth grader Abby Neve stepped up at catcher as she threw out two runners at second and tagged out two more runners at home plate.
“Its a fun game when you can be aggressive and put the opposing team on their heels,” LP head coach Jeff Yocom said. “There’s always something new to learn and these young ladies are up to the challenge.”
