Prescription medication was taken from a vehicle during the Austin Citywide Garage Sales on Saturday.

At about 3:29 p.m., Austin police officers responded to the 500 block of South Main Street. The victim said she was out rummage saling and noticed her prescription for Tylenol codeine was missing from the center console, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.

She said the prescription was in plain sight and she hadn’t locked her car nor was anyone else in the car at that time. About 30 pills were included in the prescription.

There are no suspects at this time, and Krueger called it a reminder for residents to lock their vehicles.
