FARGO, N.D. — Two Fargo residents are in custody across the Minnesota border in Moorhead after a police chase that ended when the suspects crashed their vehicle.
Police say the 22-year-old man and 19-year-old woman fled a traffic stop about 12:45 a.m. Monday, traveling up to 70 mph in a 30 mph zone. The vehicle they were in eventually went out of control on a curve and slammed into a floodwall.
Both suspects then fled on foot. The woman was found hiding behind the floodwall. The man was taken into custody after allegedly fighting with officers.
Police say they recovered what they suspect is a bag of methamphetamine.
