The Austin boys golf team put up its best score in three years at the first day of the Albert Lea meet Friday.

James Snee shot a 76 to lead the Packers, who shot a 322 and were in 12th place out of 16 teams. The meet will finish up on Saturday in AL.

“I’m really happy that we had this low score, but it’s kind of humbling too that we can see there are some other great programs too,” Austin head coach Matt Raso said.
