I think all of us are looking forward summer and nicer weather.

Finally getting out of our winter like cocoons that kept us warm all winter and into the sunshine for some much needed vitamin D. You know you’re from Minnesota when at the end of winter your legs are the same color as your long johns.

More summer fun is grilling. We miss the chance over the winter for that flame kissed burger. At noon on Wednesday is your chance to come to the Mower County Senior Center picnic. This year we are going to grill on the west side of the building between the building and the garden. We are serving hamburgers or brats, chips and dessert for $5. We will have plenty of seating so bring a friend.

If it rains we will move the seating inside. Hope to see you there.

Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 sandwich for 50 cents. Tuesday we are having chicken broccoli casserole for only $2.
