A gas fire pit was reported stolen Wednesday after the owner discovered it was not in the shed.

The theft was reported to the law enforcement center at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. The residence is located on the 1500 block of Third Avenue Southwest, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.

The victim said the shed was unlocked and must have been taken sometime between late March and Wednesday.

The fire pit is brand new in the box and valued at $270.
