GMLOKS advances five athletes to state track meet

The Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander-Southland-Kingsland track and field team had five athletes qualify for the state meet at the Section 1A finals in Triton Thursday.
GMLOKS junior Peter Torkelson earned his first trip to the state meet as he took first place in the 1600-meter run.
GMLOKS freshman Lauren Buchholtz earned a trip to state in the 400-meter dash when she took first place.
The GMLOKS 4 x 200-meter relay team of Jordyn Glynn, Buchholtz, Emily Hovden and Sydney Bendtsen earned a trip to state by taking second and running faster than the state qualifying time,
