A man was assaulted Thursday after another man he knew broke into his home and assaulted him.
Police responded to an assault reported at Mayo Clinic in Austin at 5:41 p.m. on the 900 block of Second Avenue Northeast, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.
The 34-year-old victim said he was upstairs when the 32-year-old suspect entered his home. The victim came down stairs and saw a bed sheet hanging up, that was blocking the stairway.
He moved the sheet aside, but was “sucker punched” and fell to the kitchen floor.
He said he was kicked in the head multiple times.
The investigation is currently ongoing and police are looking for the suspect, who faces possible charges of felony assault and burglary.
