Doris was born on April 30, 1926, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of the late Leonard Earl and Elsie Irene (Strickland) LeGrant. She graduated from Cedar Rapids High School, class of 1944. Doris went on to further her education at Coe College in Cedar Rapids and the Virginia Presbyterian College, graduating with a degree in Christian Education. She loved to learn, and while taking summer courses at Drake University, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Davis.

The couple was married on June 3, 1955, at University Christian Church in Des Moines, Iowa. Ken was a minister in several different churches during their marriage. Doris worked and served in many jobs throughout her life, both as a secretary in a variety of places and in many capacities in the church. She was always a very active part of each of the churches that her husband was called to. Doris taught Sunday school and Bible school, adult education classes and Bible study, sang in the choir, and served on many committees in different churches through the years. She enjoyed volunteering and always gave back to the communities where the couple lived and served.

She especially loved to play cards and spend time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. After retiring, the couple moved to Austin, Minnesota where they lived for 20 years before recently moving to Reedsville, WI to be close to their daughter. Doris had an unwavering faith in God, a generous heart, cheerful spirit, and was known for her infectious laugh and beautiful smile. She touched so many lives with her unconditional love and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Doris is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ken of Reedsville; two daughters: Janelle (Alan) Condra of Reedsville and Lori Davis Soule of Williston, Vermont; four grandchildren Alissa Condra, Seth Condra, Jared Soule, and Leah Soule; brother-in- law Fred (Phyllis) Davis; niece Jerra (Ed) Wilkinson; nephew Fred B.
