Robert H. Post, 86, of Buffalo, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home July 19, 2016.

Bob was born in Austin, Minnesota, on Jan. 15, 1930, and served in the Korean war as a U.S. Marine and was a recipient of two Purple Heart medals. Bob married Clare Hakala in 1955 and they recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.

Bob was a family man, loved all animals and truly enjoyed his 20-plus years as a state coordinator for AARP.

Survived by spouse, Clare Post; and four daughters: Paula Post, Paige (Len) John, Perrin Post, Penne Post, Alexandra John (granddaughter); and siblings: Lois, Sharon, Roger (Kathy) and Diane (Maynard); and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Aug. 4 at Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel with internment at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Snelling Cemetery in St. Paul, Minnesota.
