Denise Willsher and Shawn Dahl announce their engagement.

Denise, of Nora Springs, Iowa, is the daughter of Joseph and the late Joyce Theilen of Nora Springs. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1992 and is currently employed at North Iowa Area Community College.

Shawn, of Nora Springs, is the son of the late Ron and June Dahl of Austin, Minnesota. He graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1984. Shawn is currently on disability.

The couple plan to be wed at 2 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2016, at First Lutheran Church in Hope, Minnesota, with a reception following the ceremony at the church.
