Hormel donates to La. flood relief

Hormel Foods Corp. announced a donation of more than 34,000 pounds of products to assist with flood relief efforts in Louisiana. The donation of shelf-stable products such as SKIPPY peanut butter and Hormel chili microwave cups will be distributed by Convoy of Hope.
“We hope this donation with help those in need during this difficult time,” said Wendy Watkins, vice president of corporate communications at Hormel, in a press release. “Those affected by these devastating floods are in our thoughts and prayers.”

Hormel Foods No. 1 on 50 best companies to sell for list
Hormel Foods Corp. announced it was ranked the No. 1 company on the Selling Power magazine 2016 list of the 50 Best Companies to Sell For.
Each year, the corporate research team at Selling Power magazine assembles and publishes its list of the 50 Best Companies to Sell For. This year is the 17th consecutive year the list has appeared in the magazine.
“We are honored to be ranked No. 1 by Selling Power magazine,” said Deanna Brady, group vice president, president of consumer products sales at Hormel Foods, in a press release. “We continue to challenge ourselves to provide our sales team with the compensation, training and resources they need to create solutions for our customers.”
To determine the rankings, companies were evaluated in the following areas: compensation packages for salespeople; sales culture; onboarding and sales-enablement strategies; training and coaching processes; and annual turnover percentage.
