Helping bridge the generation gap
Published 10:35 am Sunday, August 28, 2016
You may have been wondering, what is all this Aging Mastery stuff. Well here is your chance to see what we are talking about.
At 2 p.m. on Monday we will have a taste of AMP class called inter generational communication, Growing Up and Growing Older: Confronting Ageism.
A generation gap in experience can sometimes make it difficult for different age groups to see what they have in common. Understanding and confronting stereotypes is a great starting place for building connections across generations.
This is from the writers of the NEW 10 week series hosted by the senior center.
The National Council on aging has written this additional class on communicating with other generations. Join us for this informative class. Everyone is welcome. Pre-register by stopping by the front desk or calling 507-433-2370.
Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and sandwich for 50 cents. On Tuesday we will be serving hamburger stroganoff for only $2. You are always welcome at the center.
