The LeRoy-Ostrander football played in its first varsity football game since 2014 when it lost 48-20 to Mabel-Canton (1-0 overall) on the road Friday.

The Cardinals (0-1 overall) trailed 35-0 at the half.

“We had a much better second half,” LO head coach Aaron Hungerholt said. “The first half was kind of the shock of being back on varsity.”
