Senior center bringing aging program back

The Mower County Senior Center is pleased to announce that we will be offering another ten-week session of Aging Mastery Program (AMP).
This is a health and wellness package for residents 55 and over. This 10-week session starts at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
AMP was developed by the National Council on Aging (NCOA).
This is a wonderful opportunity for adults to participate in, and reap the benefits of, this cutting edge wellness program. We are currently recruiting 30 adults ages 55 and over to participate in a 10-week educational program. We only have a couple of spots left so if you are interested make sure you sign up today.
Here is the listings of the classes, speakers, dates and times for the 10-week program:
1. Navigating Longer Lives: The Basics of Aging Mastery, 2 p.m. Sept.7 with Mary Holtorf, certified trainer
2. Exercise and You, 2 p.m. Sept. 14 with Rena Langowski, personal trainer and Terri Bergstrom, massage therapist
3. Healthy Eating and Hydration. 2 p.m. Sept. 21 with Linda Baumann, Nutritionist.
4. Falls Prevention, 2 p.m. Sept. 28 with Dick McIntosh, Senior’s Helping Senior’s
5. Sleep, 2 p.m. Oct. 5, with Dr. Kubas, sleep medicine Mayo
6. Medication Management, 2 p.m. Oct. 12 with Chris Meyer, pharmacist
7. Healthy Relationships, 2 p.m. Oct. 19 with Bonnie Rietz, community leader.
8. Advance Planning, 2 p.m. Oct. 26 with Mary Kittelson, Community Services
9. Community Engagement, 2 p.m. Nov. 2 with Michael Maas, RSVP Program Coordinator
10. Financial Fitness, 2 p.m. Nov. 9 with Paul Knorr, COO Accentra Credit Union
