The Austin girls soccer team lost its final regular season home game 3-0 to Owatonna in Art Hass Stadium Tuesday.
The Huskies (7-5-1 overall, 7-2-1 Big Nine) took a 3-0 lead in the first half, but the Packers played much stronger in the second frame.
“It was a physical game and we came out with our heads held high,” Austin head coach Jake Levisen said. “Sydney Marsh had an excellent game and our mids worked really well together. Paige Raymond and Emily Hegna had some nice connections and the forwards worked really well communicating and working passes together.”
Freshman Cassity Nangle had eight saves in the loss for Austin (4-9-1 overall, 2-8 Big Nine), which had seven shots on goal.
The Packers will close out the regular season at Albert Lea 7 p.m. Thursday and they will begin the postseason Monday.
